5 of 5 GREAT FUN Thursday, September 18, 2008 Chris from Moreno Valley, Ca
This thing is COOL! It's a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll have a blast. I have a gas r/c truck, which I love, but I find myself flying the Dragonfly in my spare time. Plus it comes in 2 different frequencies, how much better can it get? Thanks BUY.COM! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Fun product but feels like very delicate Monday, March 24, 2008 Amit Bansal from Quincy,MA
I bought it to show to my 3 yr. old son , he gets very excited watching it fly but when it comes down on the floor he wants to catch it and I fear that it might break anytime. It is very light weight and the wings are made of polythene, though they have given an extra pair of wings but I think they are not going to last long :-)
Overall a fun product but not very durable.

4 of 5 wow wee dragonfly Wednesday, March 12, 2008 david w. osedach from san diego
this is definetely a high tech product; it flies like a bird as opposed to using an overhead rotor like a helicopter. it is delicate and the operating instructions aren't very clear. to charge the unit for flight you must use your 6 alkaline batteries rather than a mains charge, this is pricey.
on the other hand take it to the park and the kids come out of the wood work to see it. i bought to fly around the bio tech company i work at. they got a big kick out of it. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 The product always seems to have charging issues? Tuesday, March 11, 2008 Rob from Federal Way, WA
This product is a bit of a disappointment...it never seems to hold a charge and when it does, flight time is very limited. Flight controls are sketchy at best. It did coax me to get the "flight bug" though and I have since progressed to indoor helicopters, so I guess the purchase wasn't a total loss. I can not recommend this product though...don't waste your money. Was this review helpful?

I bought the dragonflies for my grandkids. The eight year old and I had a video conference so that he could show me how it flies. I was surprised how big it was. The boy said that it was easy to operate and could fly in the house. He then showed me by flying it around his bedroom. My son said it works better outside where there is more room. Both rate the WoWWee a 5. I'm think of getting one for myself Was this review helpful?

I picked up two of these for my sons (13 & 15 yrs. old) in the hopes that they would enjoy learning about how insects fly (and they looked fun). They worked great. Not soaring, but floating on the winds, dragonflies work on slight air currents and their new toys slowly lifted. After 10 mins of charging these from their remote controllers, then setting them to flight for 1-2 min flights, they had these flying over the second floor of my house. Unfortunately we missed the fine print. DONT FLY OUTDOORS. A nearby hawk noticed that one of these monster-sized snacks and swooped down to take it away for a meal of styrofoam and plastic. We chased the bird, but my poor son was heartbroken, when he realized what was left was going to be a mass of beads and tape. I love the product but I can't fly it near any birds of prey, and here in Georgia, they are everywhere. Was this review helpful?
