The 720 is my third GPS. It's quick to work; accurate for locations; and loaded with customizable options. One must understand how to use it since there are so many options and variables that could seem to be problems. Read the Manual before seriously using it. Then, turn it on and play for a while while someone drives. Have used the phone hook up; the FM transmitter; customized the screen beginning and end messages; talked to it and listened to it play Debussy's Images. What more can I ask of a robot? It even found a Walmart late one night in Burlington, VT. so we could avoid a traffic jam and get a little nap. Really enjoy it's silent recalculation of route when we make a mistake. I got this for my wife since she has no sense of direction, When she says turn left I go right and that works about 75% of the time but god help me the other 25%. It comes with a usb docking/charging station great for updates and downloads. It will get you where you are going but the map software at least so far in the U.S. is off by about 50 feet so you have to look for the address. It also has the car charger/power cord and the windshield mount that works great. The battery is ok they say 5 hours but unless the battery saver is on for long trips I doubt that it is more than a few hours around town. We have it plugged in all the time in the car anyway. The screen is ok but the Garmin is brighter. the touch screen is sensitive and works quick with just a touch. It finds sat's really fast and recalulates in about 3 seconds if you miss a turn. Tom Tom has a lot more software and other useful stuff that you can get on the internet than Garmin it is also more easily customized. You can put pictures and mps's on an sd card and play music through your fm car radio it also has built in bluetooth for hands free phone we have 3 cells synched to it. We are looking for a new house closer to my wifes work and input about 10 houses we wanted to look at and Tom Tom took us right to them most enjoyable ride with my wife in the car and looking for an address I have ever had. this unit will do what you need and it has lots of stuff you can use most of it free. It also has voice input for addresses but so far I have not gotten it to work very well, maybe if I use a British accent. Was this review helpful?
