5 of 5 Peace of mind at all times Thursday, October 23, 2008 seanmkemp76 from Elkharet Indiana
About 6 months ago i bought my first cyberpower UPS system. This is my second and its better yet and i am running them both at the same time and i have over an hour of battery time with 6 moniters, CPU, all in one printer, speeker system, DSL modem, Router, Laptop, phone, and lamp.
I also have a cyberpower adaptor for my laptop to use in my car. it also works great Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Thursday, September 25, 2008 Joe from Columbia, MD
I replaced two APC UPS units, one of which (an 18-month-old Back-UPS ES 750) was intermittently insisting that there was no AC. Based on the reviews here and elsewhere, I bought two of these CyberPower units (and recommended it to a relative for a small office environment) and two months later, I couldn't be happier.
The software is easy to use and the product has supplied clean power for months through power interruptions / outages. Based on the reviews I've read, I expect these units to last a long time! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Everything I Expected Sunday, September 07, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
I replaced an old Belkin UPS. The CyberPower unit plugged in and worked, as it should. The software is comprehensive. I really like the display, too. It shows you important information. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Monday, July 14, 2008 Lloyd from Winchester, VA
I'm very pleased with this backup unit. It kept my projector safe through a brown-out just last night. With these items it either works or doesn't and this unit did fine. The really impressive functionality for me is it's on-screen information. I can cycle through two particular readings which I think are very cool. 1) You can see kW. I don't know how accurate it is, but it gives me a really good sense of how much power I am using. I hooked this unit up to all my A/V gear in my home theater - 2 year old HD (760p) panasonic projector, 100W Yamaha Receiver, HD DVD player, HD DVR. For a long time before buying this product, I wanted to buy something to tell me how much power all that gear used so I could get the right size power back-up. That and I was curious how much electricity certain appliances took. This product lets me do that testing. 2) You can see % of load capacity. This is cool because with all that gear I mentioned, I can see I'm running anywhere from 35% to 48% capacity most of the time and know a lot more than the mere fact that I am within it's capabilities. I have an older 350VAC unit and you can only know if you are drawing an acceptable amount of power or unacceptable - no clue exactly where you fit on the scale though. So this product really gave me what I think all backup battery units should have plus some.
My only recommendation is to give me an option to leave the display up - it turns off after about 20 seconds. I'd like to have it on all the time so I don't have to push the button everytime I want to see the readout. And if you want a really picky wishlist item, show both load and kW usage on the same screen without having to cycle through. And if you reeeally want to get picky, in additon to real time kW, show kW/hr, kW/day, kW/week.
I've had this unit about a month, so I have no long term comments, other than the 1st month being fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Better than advertised! Wednesday, July 09, 2008 A Customer from Ocala, FL
This is an incredible value - both UPS protection and line conditioning. I have this unit installed in my home theater setup to protect my satellite receiver and HDRP TV (DVD player, too). My TV requires a 90 second cool down with the fan to protect the bulb, that is why I needed a UPS. The line conditioning is an added bonus - NTM it's usually only available on units much more expensive than this one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic / Excellent Value Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Don from Baltimore, MD
Before this UPS I owned a Belkin F6C120-UNV 1200VA UPS. This UPS was made of steel and the case would get very hot on the outside. About a year after I purchased it the batteries died. I called Belkin and they sent a replacement UPS which then died after another year. This CyberPower UPS stays very cool - the case is room temperature and makes absolutely no noise. The display on the front is fantastic and only comes on when you press the "Display" button on the front (which I prefer over having the display all the time). I would absolutely recommend this over Belkin if you're looking for a UPS - just do a google search and you'll see many others stating how unreliable their UPS's are. Buy.com's price on this was far better than anywhere else that I could find online. In fact, it's so affordable I'm thinking about getting another one for my kids PC.
As a side note, I did not install the software so I can not rate the quality / functionality of that. Windows XP / Vista recognize the UPS natively and confirm the battery level.

3 of 5 Does not work with Vista ! Saturday, July 05, 2008 A Customer from Charles Town, WV
We purchased this unit for use with a PC running Vista. The box says Vista Compatible, however, the software included was for XP only, not Vista. Tech support was unable to make the software work with Vista. It works great on XP, but don't buy it if you have Vista. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Friday, June 13, 2008 dennyhere from Midland, GA
The Cyber Power unit is small and attractive. More importantly it works without being intrusive. The power display on the unit times out after a couple of minutes so it is not distracting. The Power Panel is available on the PC and gives you up to the minute information of the condition of the power and the projected run time under battery power.
I am very pleased with the product and Buy.com.

5 of 5 it's working Sunday, April 27, 2008 A Customer from Dallas, TX
Bought this after experiencing flickering lights in my house several times. Eventually found a problem in my homes main breaker box. Since then have had momentary lights flickering due to recent storms and this unit activates quickly enough to come on even though power was not completely off. Haven't installed shutdown sofware yet. All plugs are close together so to use them all with the oversize plugs/transformers that most computer accessories have you will have to build short male to female extensions because rear panel is too crowded. Other than that seems to work great. |
